Mythegy is a world like no other. It is the culmination of all that is good and evil, spanning across time to form one great nation of battles.
Throughout history, Xoros, the God of Darkness, and Nethri, the Goddess of Light, have battled endlessly to determine who will rule all that is known.
Despite their endless conflicts, neither Xoros nor Nethri has been victorious, so they are now calling upon their followers to join them in battle.
Whether you are a noble Knight, backstabbing Rogue, seafaring Pirate or Super Hero or Villain, your gods require and demand you join them in battle and fight in their name.
Your battle awaits! Support your god and become the hero of the war!

August 20, 2009 - Game Update #8 - Player Market and Inventory Update
The following is now live:
We are thrilled to announce the release of a completely new Player Market system. The new system was written from scratch and replaces the old system. The market system now focuses on listing, selling and buying items with auctions no longer being supported. The new market area has been streamlined to make navigation much easier and faster for buyers and will make adding and updating items to the market easier and faster for sellers as well.
All items in the old player market have been converted to the new market. The selling price of each item has been removed so none of your items will actually be listed in the market until you update your prices.
We are testing a new pricing structure in the market. With this new system, all minimum and maximum prices have been removed on all items allowing the players to set the market prices on everything. We will monitor this change though and may be forced to implement limited price requirements or other options to prevent abuse or cheating.
We have made some improvements to the Inventory page to better integrate it with the new player market system. In addition to equipping and unequipping your items, you will now use your inventory manager to add items to your market and sell items to the in-game merchant.
The prize code system has been upgraded internally to support a new expiration feature. The only prize types using this feature currently are inventory claim codes. With the new expiration system, inventory claim codes will now have their expiration timer set to 24 hours from the moment you view your first page after receiving the inventory claim code. Once this feature is fully tested, it will be used in other limited areas as well.
Players are allowed to sell and buy items between their own accounts, however, there will now be a transfer fee (currently is 25%) on these transactions. The transfer fee will be applied to the final selling price after all other commission fees are applied. *** Temporarily Unavailable ***
With the new player market system, there is no longer a "buyer" fee so the price you see listed on the item will be the price that the seller actually listed on the item.
August 5, 2009 - Game Update #7 - Battle Credits Save Option
A new feature has been added to the game engine that will allow you to save your battle credits for a future period. Only a percentage of your battle credits will be saved though and you will lose the rest. You can only use this feature when you have no current bonus battle credits. For more information, click the "Save Ahead" link below the battle credit counter on the side menu.
We have now made it so that when you are attacked and defeated, if the other player earns battlepoints from the battle, you will receive one battlepoint as well. The additional battlepoints you earn are tracked in real-time and will show up as you earn them in your battlepoints counter.
August 3, 2009 - Game Update #6 - Battle Credits Reset Timer Added
Since player battle credits are reset each day based on server time, we have added a battle credits reset timer to the bottom of the left side menu. The timer will show how long you have before your battle credits are reset to 100 for the next day. The timer only shows the time left at the moment when the page was displayed so do not forget to refresh if you have been on the same page for a while.
We hope this will be a useful feature for you all!
I am happy to announce several updates, tweaks, and fixes!
We are working on a new game guide (documentation) that should help new and returning players better understand how the game works. We will be putting this guide online as we work on it rather than waiting for it to be completed and we will initially focus on the more confusing areas such as battlepoints, battle credits, etc.
All of the in-game item shops now restock their inventory every 2 hours instead of the 3 hours it previously took.
There is now an option to reset your class for those players who would like to have their skills reset or would like to receive all of the free new player items for their class. This feature removes the need to change to another class and then back to your preferred class.
As a reminder, we now allow players to have more than one account which gives you the ability to play more than one class at a time.
We have several new features we are working on including some that will go live very soon so keep checking the updates!
July 27, 2009 - Game Update 4.5 - Battle Points Bonus
The following updates are now live:
A new staff-controlled BattlePoints Bonus feature has been added that will allow the staff to periodically increase the amount of battlepoints you earn from defeating new opponents each day. This bonus will stack with the faction-based battlepoints bonus.
You will no longer earn faction-based battlepoints bonuses for defeating players of your own faction.
You will temporarily be unable to change your faction while a faction-based battlepoints bonus is active for your faction.
The Recruits Report should now be working, however status points earned from each recruit is not displayed because that information is not tracked in the player profile.
Players can now earn additional battlepoints for defeating opponents of a faction at various times throughout the day. The faction that provides bonus battlepoints and the bonus rate will be listed right below the Battle button on the menu. The faction and the bonus percentage changes regularly and will not always be available.
The minimum buy price in the Player Market can no longer be less than the minimum reserve price.
Players are now allowed to have and play multiple accounts and to buy and sell items between their characters in the player market using the Buy Item option.
The delay penalty for having empty primary attack slots has been increased considerably.
The player rankings by battlepoints should now be sorting correctly when two or more players have the same number of battlepoints.
July 8, 2009 - Game Update #3 - New Status Point System
We are pleased to announce the addition of a new Status Point system in Mythegy. You can earn status points from various things you do and accomplish within Mythegy. With your status points you can visit the Status Item Shop where you will find random status items available that you can purchase. Status items are not sellable by players in the Player Market.
So, how can you earn status points? We plan to add several methods of earning status points to the game, but one of the best ways will always be to recruit new players. You will earn status points when new players you recruit sign-up and more importantly, you will receive status points periodically as your recruits battle other players.
It is important to note that the amount of status you earn or have to spend will continue to be adjusted while we tweak and balance the system. This may mean reducing the amount of status points earned for some tasks as well as increasing status points earned for other tasks. We ask that you be patient with us while we continue testing this new feature.
Other Notes
Player Rankings are now color-coded to show which players you have already earned battlepoints from today as well as the battles where battlepoints are still available.
Your current status points along with the current status point cap have been placed at the top of each page.
The up/down movement field on the player rankings page is now working correctly.
July 7, 2009 - Game Update #2 - New Ranking and Battle Point System
We have completely rewritten the Rankings/Battle Points system. You earn Battle Points each day that you attack and defeat another player (24 hours). The amount of Battle Points that you earn is equal to the opponent's level. If you attack a level 5 player and win, you get 5 Battle Points. If you attack them again tomorrow and win, you get 5 more Battle Points. It is also important to note that you do not lose Battle Points! You just keep earning them when you win battles from eligible players. You can see by the highlighting in the rankings who you can get battlepoints from. This is also shown on the Attack page before you attack another player.
The best part about this rewrite is that the Battle Points are now be accurate in real time, so that you can keep an eye on what is happening.
